June 24–25, 2024 | Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, Croatia
The ECOUNITY project took a major leap forward as partner representatives from across Europe gathered at the stunning Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Rijeka for the project’s 2nd Transnational Project Meeting — and it was two days packed with energy, collaboration, and exciting progress!
The meeting kicked off on the morning of June 24th in the Great Hall, with a warm welcome from Associate Professor Bojana Olgić Draženović, the project manager, and Vice Dean Assistant Professor Ivan Gržeta. From the very first moments, the atmosphere was buzzing with enthusiasm and a shared sense of purpose.
The first day dove straight into the heart of the project. Project coordinator Marián Tóth (SUA Nitra) delivered a comprehensive overview of Work Package 1, reviewing timelines and the status of activities across all work packages. Partners then engaged in a dynamic discussion on the curriculum developed under Work Package 2, with Dejan Miljenović presenting the functional model and the four agreed thematic units. In a truly collaborative spirit, all partners jointly agreed on the order of modules — with COMU leading, followed by EFRI (UNIRI), SUA, and UPB. The afternoon was dedicated to Work Package 3, with exciting discussions on the e-learning platform, animated video creation, quizzes, and blog articles — with Elif Anda from MELLIS guiding partners through detailed plans and creative examples. The first day concluded with an unforgettable organised tour of the vibrant Art Quarter near the faculty, followed by a delightful dinner in Volosko at the charming Trattoria Mandrać!
Day 2 was equally electrifying. Partners received detailed technical guides on animated video production, the Learning Management System (LMS), and expert speech video preparation — all key building blocks of the ECOUNITY e-learning platform. The session concluded with an energetic discussion on dissemination and promotion, where the consortium committed to 10 social media posts per month and the production of a project newsletter. Clear deadlines were set for all upcoming deliverables, ensuring the project stays right on track.
After the working sessions, partners enjoyed a wonderful excursion to the Matošević family farm in Istria and a tour of the picturesque town of Rovinj — a perfect blend of work and cultural discovery!
All partners — from Slovakia, Turkey, Romania, Poland, Croatia, and beyond — demonstrated outstanding commitment and teamwork. The 2nd Transnational Meeting in Rijeka was a resounding success, setting the stage for the next exciting chapter of ECOUNITY!
